Rahima Wade's work with our department has moved our program beyond lip service to service learning and into true community collaboration. She brings a wealth of insight and expertise to her work as a service learning consultant.
Carolyn O’Grady, Gustavus Adolphus College
Dr. Wade has served as consultant for the development of our service learning components in teacher education at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Her knowledgeable leadership based on many years of research and practice has been offered with insight and sensitivity to our needs.
Dr. Helen L. Carlson, U of MN at Duluth
“The first explanation of service-learning that I’ve understood!” I think this reaction sums up how we felt about your presentation! Comments after yesterday’s session were extremely positive.
Sue Pearson, Cedar Rapids School District
Your presentation was very well received by everyone attending the conference and your ideas on service-learning and curriculum integration provided the insights necessary to take the next steps in service-learning curriculum integration.
Lizanne Fehsenfeld, NYLC, Tri-State project
Your comments have been very useful to us in developing a strengthened evaluation design for our current efforts. We would like to express our gratitude to you once again for your thoughtful comments and suggestions.
Susan Hyatt, Social Science Education Consortium
Rahima Wade conducted an evaluation of our teacher education program in service-learning for a CNS grant. We found her to be thoughtful, professional and fair in her evaluations. The information she provided was useful in guiding our next steps.
Lynne Ryan, Providence College
Rahima is an exceptionally creative educator who is able to provide her colleagues with numerous insightful, specific suggestions that result in improved service-learning teaching and scholarship. She is also very dependable and conscientious; always fulfilling her commitments in a timely fashion.
Jeffrey Anderson, Seattle University
Dr. Rahima Wade has the requisite skills, abilities, and perseverance to aid service-learning in becoming the potent force it is now; and her scholarship, grant writing, and supervision in service-learning endeavors have been of great aid to many of us in higher education.
Fred Smiley, Cameron University
Rahima helped the professors in Wisconsin Lutheran College's teacher education program move our students from volunteers to true participants in service learning. She assisted us in connecting community action to curriculum goals and mentored us toward truly reflective practice. The vision that she helped us identify is now integrated into program and practice on our campus.
Ray Dusseau, Wisconsin Lutheran
Rahima shines as a presenter. I have seen her present at national conferences for academic audiences and through CiviConnections workshops for teachers, administrators, and community leaders. She is equally at home in both: engaging, instructive, and at ease. Rahima also listens well, acknowledging audience ideas in ways that make her sessions truly interactive.
Lynne Boyle-Baise, Indiana University-Bloomington
Rahima Wade was very accommodating and flexible as we scheduled her as a keynote presenter for our annual regional conference. She eagerly worked with us to develop program presentations to meet our constituents needs. It was a pleasure to work with her and participate in her workshops and other conference presentations. Rahima Wade is an invaluable resource for skill development training in service-learning pedagogy.

University of Nebraska, Kearney
The curriculum developed to work with our film frames our message clearly and creatively, and brings to the forefront the essence of what our project was about. All the feedback we have received has been positive; educators at the high school and college levels have commented on the breadth and depth of our curriculum and have been excited to use it in the classroom. It was wonderful to work with Rahima, who had such a high degree of professionalism and skill, and as we were told by one educator, we now have a product that is "curricular gold."
